David William Harden

June 15, 2005   SAVANNAH, GA -- David William Harden, 69, of Port Royal, died Sunday, June 12, 2005, in St. Joseph's Candler Hospital in Savannah.

Services will be private.


    
Mr. Harden was born Oct. 24, 1935, in Oklahoma City, a son of Dorothe Ellerby Harden and John Hale Harden.


    
He attended New Mexico Military Institute and graduated from Colorado State University. He then entered the Air Force and served three tours in Vietnam as a fighter pilot and separated as captain.


    
After leaving the Air Force, he was a pilot for many years with Braniff Airlines and later for Aramco in Saudi Arabia. He was most recently a pilot with NetJets International in Okatie. He enjoyed restoring and riding motorcycles and vintage cars.


    
Survivors include his wife, Elisabeth Sartor Harden, of Port Royal; a son, Dirk Harden of San Diego, Calif.; a brother, John J. Harden of Oklahoma City; and two granddaughters.
